Whether you are a seasoned performer looking to tune your skills or a new face hoping to break through, ACTRA’s Mastering Your Film & Television Audition workshop could help you.
This 2-day workshop, subsidized by Emploi Quebec, will help you better prepare for your next audition, and gain the confidence and skill you need to get the role. All participants will receive a DVD of their work on camera.
Day 1 – Preparation
-Learn the DOs & DON’Ts
-Learn how to approach the material and create an effective preparation technique
-Ask the questions you’ve always wondered about
-Learn about framing and your on-camera ‘hit’
-Work on camera with pre-issued audition sides in a class environment
Day 2 – Audition & Analysis
-Try out your technique in a realistic audition environment, and analyze what worked and what didn’t – and more importantly, understand why
-Audit the on-camera work being done in the audition room
